Our Vision
The movement our country needs right now.
Together, we bring the Games to Germany and make our country fit for the future.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games captivate people worldwide. They bring movement to the country, create community, instill confidence, and connect people across borders. Especially in challenging times, the Olympics give us a goal to work towards together as a society.
We want to motivate people in our country to become active participants in this movement, not just spectators. The Games will be a national community project that shines far beyond our country's borders.
We are convinced: The Games in Germany can be the starting point for change in our country. We are a nation of innovation, engineering, and economic strength. Together, we combine our forces and unleash entirely new potentials.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games are both vision and role model. The Special Olympics World Games, the FISU World University Games, the UEFA Euro 2024: Every year, we show anew that Germany can be a host. So why not for the Olympic and Paralympic Games as well?
The Olympics in Germany would be an inspiring experience for everyone. For thousands of athletes from around the world, for millions of guests on-site, for billions of viewers on TV. And above all, for 84 million residents who celebrate successes together, with role models on the field and enthusiasm in the stands, presenting a stable, democratic, open, and modern country to foreign friends with joy and pride.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games can be a catalyst and accelerator for changes in our country—a drive to improve processes and seize opportunities.
Our Goals
We make sports accessible for everyone.
The movement Germany needs now will make the upcoming generation the most athletic in the country's history. It removes barriers to joining clubs and provides sports clubs with the necessary support for their growing challenges. Sports will not only be strengthened but also made barrier-free, inclusive, and equitable.
We bring our elite sports to the world stage.
Germany, as a sports nation, wants to see its athletes on the podium more frequently at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The movement Germany needs now will bring us back to the top 5 in the medal tally through improved talent identification, strategic support, and sustainable structures. It showcases the full breadth and diversity of sports and strengthens the sense of unity through successful athletes.
We inspire volunteerism.
8.3 million volunteers enable a diverse range of sports in Germany. To maintain this volunteer base, we need to stretch, motivate, and offer better opportunities. The power of the Games strengthens volunteerism in Germany. Volunteer engagement is rewarded, and the broad landscape of clubs is secured for the long term.
We keep society united.
The Olympics in Germany will be a unifying chapter of our identity, promoting integration and strengthening the sense of belonging. It initiates new developments and unites the country behind a common goal.
We make inclusion a reality.
The movement Germany needs now removes barriers for people with disabilities, both in infrastructure and in mindsets, and ensures increased support for Paralympic sports. Additionally, we create a closer integration of Olympic and Paralympic sports.
We improve the nation's health.
Regular exercise not only reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and depression but also alleviates stress and enhances overall well-being. The Olympics highlight sports as a health factor, contributing to a more satisfied society.
We modernize our sports infrastructure.
Through the Olympics, we bring together various stakeholders from politics, business, sports, and society to consolidate efforts. We invest in the renovation and construction of sports facilities, gyms, and swimming pools, creating a diverse range of sports offerings for clubs and schools.
We advance international understanding.
The movement Germany needs now uses sports as an opportunity to connect further with the world and build bridges. It presents our ideas and capabilities to the world, mindful of our history and responsibilities.
We maintain Germany's image in the world.
As hosts of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we once again demonstrate ourselves as a reliable, resilient partner and driver of international understanding. People from all over the world experience Germany as an attractive location for business, tourism, and skilled professionals, as well as an open, beautiful, and livable country.
